Attendant Care Program
The Attendant Care Program provides in-home
personal care services to help mentally alert,
physically disabled older persons remain
independent in their own homes.
The services are provided through the Area
Agency on Aging to Consumers who are age 60 and
over who were previously served by Department of
Public Welfare’s Attendant Care Program.

What kinds of services are provided?
Basic services include
assisting a person to get in and out of bed,
wheelchair and/or motor vehicle; assisting a
person with health maintenance activities, such
as bathing and personal hygiene, dressing and
grooming; and eating, including meal preparation
and cleanup.
We also do light housework, shopping, laundry,
planning activities and letter writing,
assistance with crafts and scheduling
appointments, escorting to church and many
others. |

AGING WAIVER PROGRAM The Pennsylvania Department of Aging Waiver (PDA
Waiver) is a long-term living program that
provides older Pennsylvanians the help they need
to live independently in their own homes and
communities. Care management and service
coordination is provided by the
Area Agency on
Aging
Who is eligible?
You must be a resident of Pennsylvania, at least
60 years of age, and meet all of the following
criteria:
- Would benefit from nursing facility care
- Can be serviced in the community by available
health and social services
- Meet the financial requirements, as determined
by your local county assistance office
- Agree to the requirements and responsibilities
of the program

FAMILY CAREGIVER SUPPORT PROGRAM |

The major focus of the Family Caregiver Support
Program is to reinforce the care being given to
older family members at home. Eligibility for
Family Caregiver is based on your income and
functional needs. contact your Area Agency on

information on eligibility and to apply for the
program. |
